Valuation Unit Activities

Valuation Activities

  • Carrying out investigative valuations on new holdings for the purpose of listing.
  • Preparing reports for each investigation on objections received to be tabled in committee meeting.
  • Conducting investigations on applications to reduce annual valuation and applications to issue valuation list.
  • Carrying out scheduled checks at each area to identify holdings left out of the valuation list.

Assessment Activities

  • Reviewing and making amendments related to information on holdings including streamlining individual ledger to the Council's Assessment Module System
  • Processing applications for transfer of ownership (Forms I and J)
  • Preparing monthly arrears collection performance report to be reported to the Council's Committee Meeting and Full Meeting.
  • Processing tax bills and E Notice.
  • Preparing reports for action on owners with outstanding payment.
  • Accepting applications for instalment payments.
  • Co-ordinating delivery of bills and E Notice.
